Living With Grief: Children and Adolescents focuses on the experience of grieving children and adolescents and the ways that hospices, schools, grief counselors, and parents can best support these populations as they cope with loss and grief.

LEARNERS MUST READ THIS BEFORE STARTING COURSE
This course consists of a 2 ˝ hour video, three book chapters, and evaluation form and examination. The exam must be passed with 80% of the answers correct to receive your Continuing Education credits (CEs). A list of board approvals is available here (PDF); please check this list before signing up for the course if you wish to receive CEs. You need to complete all the lessons in order to receive continuing education credit OR a completion certificate. Learners with have 30 days to complete the course.

The three chapters to read as background material are from Hospice Foundation of America’s 2008 book, Living With Grief: Children and Adolescents and are in PDF format.

This program is available to social workers, clergy, funeral directors, nurses, psychologists, nursing home administrators, caregivers, and to those who work with death, dying, grief and/or bereavement. This program will touch base with introductory, intermediate and advanced disciplines.
